A mother's worry- the undying love and need of protection, a perpetual worry.

The second design of the exploration of Hague. As my curiosity peaked, wondering the historical rich roads of this very city, did my mind commenced its drifting off, entering a nostalgic and longing feeling for "home". I began bringing images of my mother and her love for me, I always was so heavily attached to my mother growing up. Her abundance of love for me sheltered me and protected my every move and action in my childish years. Masking and protecting my ignorance with a veil of comfort; inexplicably caressing my every new fear and thought. Unaware did I began thinking the effect and fear she had in upholding this much strength for me and my sibling growing up. I wondered how she would look, act, whenever her children, her cherished treasures, would leave her side exploring the unpredictability of life...thus this composition took form. Accompanying a question and appreciation that should have been done years ago.

A Mother's Worry; how intense and painful must it be to wonder and yearn for your loved one, to the think of the worst but prepared for the best. Unable to quiet live your daily life, your routine shuttered, sheltered to never see tomorrow. Even in their absence your mind and thoughts are with them, accompanying their every breath, step and decision. Nothing in this world could describe this unconditional love and serving than the title of a "mother". A composition describing a mother looking out a stone carved window, taken aback of her sheer despair and worry of her loved one. Projecting an image of her loved one in the most dire situations, surrounded by death and decay, a dip in ink in our signature of morality. She is being comforted by another female figure, ever so slightly keeping her in reality for if she were to get consumed by her love and fear, her projection, that has a small part of her vision, would have triple or better yet, fully covert her reality. Rendering her useless. Falling down a spiral of despair, a place that no light or warmth could ever reach. Scattered around we can see ships and pictures of the sea, followed with an opened letter. Could this be the origin of her worries? Her loved one/child venturing the unpredictability of the sea; battling the odds of survival, while she stays in a room where all the memories they made together lingers and dances like a long bait thread. Mockingly reminding her constant need to have them in her arms? For life seems unlivable without them, unbearable and unthinkable? A state of paralysis, a mother's worry.

"A tribute to all the mother figures, to the ones that are, or the ones that are going to be or were; for without you, our mothers, our perception of this world could not be accompanied by the sheer treasure and love you once and always, will give to us.  Carrying us, and our burdens and worries as one of your own, forever safely tucked in your vastness, yet limited corners of your hearts. Thank you."
